Video transcript

I am a compassionate person. Yeah I do compassion because I am a compassionate person. It's all about the ego ! When the attention is in the heart and you're not running that egotic field of perception, you simply are compassionate because the heart is naturally relational and its boundaries, as your yogi said, are : "I am in you and you are in me". And to withhold compassion from another human being who is in your field is really like putting a tourniquet around your arm so that you cut off the blood and a vital part of your own being. You wouldn't do it. It's stupid, you know. But when you're in, you know, only heart perception can do it.

Director's note

We met Cynthia in a beautiful Island, Holy Isle in the UK. What an adventure to get there, we had to ride a small boat, but once you are there it feels that you are on a different place.
Cynthia explores the theme of the ego in relation with compassion.
From which place do we start having compassion ?
